Mandeville Films, the Walt Disney-affiliated production company behind The Fighter, will be developing a film based on Top Cow’s graphic novel, The Darkness. The news was confirmed at Comic-Con today to the L.A. Times by a spokesperson for Mandeville, who said David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce, while David Manpearl and Top Cow’s Marc Silvestri and Matt Hawkins will be the executive producers. The firm and Top Cow previously brokered deals for graphic novels Alib and Crosshair. Meanwhile, the Darkness II game has been moved into 2012, as we’ve previously reported.
