Harry Potter SMASHES Box Office Records!

So just in case someone placed a memory charm on you or you happen to live in a cave with limited wi-fi...the final Harry Potter movie came out this past weekend. And I have to say...it kind of kicked a**!

It's pretty hard to believe that the final installment is here. And that the series is DONE. It's also hard to believe how those little cuties got all kinds of hot. Especially little know-it-all Hermione Granger, who apparently now knows-it-all when it comes to being YOWZA!

But enough of the sentimental musings! We're here to talk about how Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 OBLITERATED some seemingly untouchable  box office records. It is now the biggest opening weekend ever, taking in $165.8 million, easily besting previous record holder The Dark Knight. HP's all like "Why so serious? Bwooce Waa-aayne?"

It also now holds the record for the all-time biggest opening day, earning $92.1 million, crushing previous record holder Twilight's $72 million. In your face, girly vamps and Were-d-bags!

Sadly, this does not mean there won't be another Twilight movie. Apparently, killing someone off in one franchise still allows them to annoy you in another far less superior franchise. I miss you Cedric Diggory...but your memory has been tarnished by sparkle.

So yeah, it shouldn't be too surprising that Harry Potter and the gang killed it this weekend...I mean Winnie the Pooh is cute and all but he didn't stand a chance, right?

But the story of Harry Potter means more to people than just box office numbers. Lots of kids and young adults grew up reading the books and seeing the movies. And the fact that it's over now...well let's just say Emma Watson isn't the only one feeling a little overwhelmed by the sadness of it all.

But I don't wanna cry...

So, transitioning to less serious things in order to save face...NEVILLE GOT HOT! Am I right, ladies??

Let's discuss the final Harry Potter movie! What was your favorite moment? I loved the Snape flashback that Harry saw in the Pensieve...by using Snape's tears. Not crying! Heart hurting now. Let the discussion commence. I need to go pull myself together.
