The Japanese hardware and software charts for the week ending July 24 finds 3DS still on top, and Everyone’s Rhythm Heaven debuted strong on Wii.
Rhythm Heaven top debut on Wii
Everyone’s Rhythm Heaven was one of six debuts for the week, and it landed in the top spot with 118,173 units sold. Capcom’s Sengoku Basara Chronicle Heroes moved 82,798 units on PSP, and No More Heroes: Red Zone Edition had a strong debut in the third spot with 40,313 units moved.
Alice: Madness Returns was finally released in Japan this week, and the PS3 version came in at ninth place with the 360 version hitting the 17 spot with combined unit sales of 29,087.

3DS tops for third week in a row
3DS was again the hardware winner for the week, despite zero game debuts in the top 20, and the highest ranking game for it hitting at number 14. Still, the handheld moved 31,826 units which is 14,811 units less than last week.
Older DS units moved a combined 10,334 units for the period.
Wii sales were also up over last week, thanks mainly to Everyone’s Rhythm Heaven, but the 17,114 units sold weren’t enough for it to reach higher than fourth on the hardware chart.
PSP was once again second place with 26,854 units sold, which is up 303 units over last week. PS3 came in third with 23,343 units which is up 21 unites over last week. PSPgo sales were perfectly flat, as it once again moved 14 units for the week. PS2 units were up 70 units over last week.
Xbox 360 moved 188 units less than the prior week.
