Naughty Dog details Uncharted 3 goodies and panel for Comic-Con

Naughty Dog has said it has a “ton of news to reveal,” on Uncharted 3 at Comic-Con this week which will come from a panel on Friday from 4-5 pm/PST where Nolan North and others will be on hand to discuss the mo-cap, and story side of game. However, there’s much more than that going on.

There will also be various action figures, comic books, novels, statues, vinyls and more on hand for folks to spend some money on.

Here’s a list of the goings on for Uncharted at the event:

  • Uncharted 3 at the PlayStation Booth – Six stations running UC3: Three-Team Deathmatch. Some folks will also get a look at the Syria map of Co-op Adventure. A limited number of SDCC 2011 exclusive t-shirts designed by Erick Scarecrow of ESC Toys, which will also be handed out each day complete with an exclusive PlayStation Store voucher code redeemable for either a Multiplayer character torso item or a mystery weapon skin. You’ll get one of these randomly if you’re lucky enough to grab a t-shirt.
  • Uncharted 3 Panel – Developing Interactive Entertainment: The Performance Capture Techniques of the Uncharted Franchise and Today’s Film Industry – Join UC3 Creative Director Amy Hennig, Cinematics team members Josh Scherr and Taylor Kurosaki, and cast members Nolan North, Richard McGonagle, and Emily Rose to discuss the influence of theatrical techniques and styles from the history of film that have helped the team continually produce industry-leading and award-winning interactive entertainment. An exclusive blue variant of the SDCC 2011 t-shirt will be handed out at the end of the panel. Each t-shirt will also come with either a Multiplayer character torso item that matches the shirt oR the corresponding mystery weapon skin.
  • DC Comics – A comic book series featuring Nathan Drake, Uncharted #1 launches our hero on a journey to the center of the earth on a quest to see the legendary “Amber Room.” As enemies from Sir Francis Drake’s past come for revenge on his descendant, Drake must use all the skills at his disposal to stay one step ahead of the game. Uncharted #1 is written by Joshua Williamson with art by Francesco Francavilla and features covers by Adam Hughes. The comic series is scheduled to debut just in time for the release of UC3. Hughes will also be signing a limited-edition Uncharted cover art poster on Friday and Sunday.
