Noted developer of artistic video games, Daniel Benmergui, has announced he is working on an all-new project based on the storytelling devices of comic books.
His next game is called Storyteller, and he has said it borrows heavily from comic books as well as games like Closure. Details are still a little bit sparse, but he’s released an image to explain the game a bit which is below.
He’s promised that this new game will be more “gamey” than his previous efforts which often played more like poems than video games.
“The mechanics borrow heavily from comic techniques of storytelling like Closure, points of view, captioning and frame transitions,” the said Benmergui.
“Each ‘puzzle’ is a story that must be built.”
Benmergui has said he will spend one year developing the game before releasing it on Windows, Mac, and iPad.
