Kate Winslet Escapes Lightning, Saves Old Lady From Fire

Richard Branson, one of the richest men in the world and owner of Virgin airlines, Virgin records, and Virgin everything else got attacked by nature on Monday. Lightning struck his crazy giant private island house that is located on his 74-acre private island.

The island is home to his house, a resort that costs $54,500 a night, and a probably giant labratory where Richard Branson spends most of his time combining human and wild boar DNA to make an army of wild-boar men that he plans on using to attack the white house.

'Titanic' star Kate Winslet was in the house at the time the lightning struck. Do not worry Kate Winslet fans, she survived the attack and remains sexually attractive. As you can see from this post-lightning strike photo of Kate Winslet:

Celebs escape from fire and lightning all the time, but what makes this story really exciting is that Winslet left the burning house a HERO, carrying Branson's 90-year-old mother to safety. According to Branson "(Winslet) picked my mother up and carried her, carried her out of the house, and so Kate helped rescue my mother." We couldn't find a picture of his mother, but below is an artist rendition of Richard Branson's mother fixing breakfast for Kate and Branson:

The other 19 people in the house were not celebrities but reports are they are ok. No word on why Winslet has to do all the rescuing

Did Kate do this on her own, or was she powered by her new lightning powers? What other powers does Kate Winslet have now? Let us know in the comments!
