Target’s the next retailer to drop the price of 3DS earlier than Nintendo plans, according to a report on Joystiq. A employee of the box store told the site: “There is a message board out to every store that the price changes are active today. Price changes must be activated by corporate.” This is more than likely in response to Walmart doing the exact same thing yesterday. The Nintendo sanctioned 3DS drop is slated for August 12, and early adopters are automatically part of the Ambassador’s Program, allowing for the download of 20 free games provided they register through the eShop before August 11. So, if you plans on getting one on the cheap and claim to be an early adopter, you will need to do it by the end of today. The same thing is going on the UK too, apparently.
