Well if Twitter buzz is any indication of success, then people are gonna be stampeding to the grocery store so they can gobble up Ben & Jerry's Schweddy Balls!
The risque name became a trending topic, with overwhelming positive support, yesterday on Twitter and I can see why! Vanilla ice cream flavored with rum and jam-packed full of mouth-watering chocolate balls? I think we can all get down with eating these Schweddy Balls! In case you're confused by the name, it's a reference to a classic SNL sketch starring Alec Baldwin as Pete Schweddy, a character who has irresistible Schweddy balls! I'm licking my lips just thinking about them!
There was a minority of people on Twitter who found the name distasteful. And while I agree that referencing balls, Schweddy or otherwise, can leave a bad taste in one's mouth, I have a sense of humor. And a love of delicious ice cream. So you better believe I'll be pounding a pint of Schweddy balls the minute I can! I'll just keep my mind off of REAL schweddy balls when I do it.
The flavor is a limited run though. So if you wanna get your hands on Schweddy Balls, you better not wait too long! Cause nothing will be sadder than losing your chance to enjoy a mouthful of those schweet balls!
