Glee Sex Episode Sparks Parent Outrage

Desi Jedeikin

Ooooo gurrrlll! Last night's episode of Glee, First Time did the Like A Virgin mash-up of all time!!! Well, I mean by Glee standards, which although icky to think about is still a thousand times less icky than the rumored thirty second Bieber romp. But I digress. Finchel and Blurt performed some horizontal duets!

And you can't have teen sex portrayed on the tube without having some fuddy-duddy parents group getting their panties all up in a bunch. The Parents Television Council criticized the show for its 'gross recklessness by celebrating teen sex.' Seriously? I don't think any teen would be inspired to lose their virginity after seeing these two do the derp.

An even more panties-up-in-a bunch parents group, The Culture And Media Institute, has accused Glee of 'stepping up its agenda of homosexual promotion.' Wrong, parents group! The only dangerous agenda Glee is promoting is turning good songs into bad songs and bad songs into really, really bad songs.

So did the controversy live up to the hype? Much like 99% of first times, it was a little bit disappointing. There was much talk about condoms, and then there were some post-coital dreamy fully-clothed staring into each other's eyes scenes. Sadly none of this:

So that leaves only one virgin left in the main cast. Coach Beist. But it looks like even she might be losing it soon. Looking forward to that very special episode. I suggest she sing a mash-up of Britney Spears' Not a Girl, Not Yet A woman and My Humps. No, wait. No, I don't.

Perhaps the worst thing this episode has done is to provide Gleeks with the misguided notion that they too might find someone to whom they can give their virginity. Sadly, gleeks only get some in the fictional world of TV land. I kid , I kid. Or do I? DUN, DUN, DUN!!!
