SCEE has announced that as of November 18, a new policy will go into effect regarding the number of Sony devices that can share a game bought through PSN.
On PS3, users will be able to play the game on up to two activated PS3 systems, and the same applies to PSP-1000/2000/3000 series and PSPgo and the games as well.
PSN users are able to change the activation setting through each device, and Sony plans to provide a new PSNccount management website where users will be able to deactivate particular devices attached to their account via their PC.
For more details on how to activate/deactivate the devices, the firm has provided a guide or you can contact consumer service for your region.
The update will not affect content purchased before November 18, but will apply to all content purchased after that date.
SCEA has yet to announced a similar policy, but we reckon it’s only a matter of time.
