Ubisoft mail out suggests new Call of Juarez in the works

Call of Juarez: The Cartel players have reportedly received an email hinting at another entry in the series.

The Gaming Liberty reports players who synched the game with their Uplay accounts have been asked to complete a survey on The Cartel’s strengths and weaknesses as well as their preferences.

The site did not include the full text of the survey, but claims it confirms future Call of Juarez games.

No further details are given, but the survey does ask players to indicate which of the following set-pieces they might like to see in the finished game, notable for its Thesaurus-like compendium of words for “gunman” and “shooting”:

  • Hunting an outlaw in the rocky mountains
  • Defending a ranch attacked by Mexican pistolleros
  • Preventing a bank robbery
  • Rescuing an innocent man about to be hanged up
  • Taking part in a shooting contest
  • A gun duel in the empty main street of a town against your worst enemy
  • Guarding a fort against a group of outlaws
  • Helping a man to escape from the sheriff’s office
  • Defending a train attacked by Native Americans on horses
  • A gunfight in a saloon after a poker game
  • Preventing outlaws from pillaging a gold mine
  • A fusillade between lawmen and outlaws

The last game in the series, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, launched in July on the three major platforms and was not well received. It is the third entry in the series and the first to use a modern day setting.
