In a move sure to horrify those who close the curtains when the Google car comes around the corner, a Dutch company called Pool Worldwide created a shooter experience for Google Street View. Called Google Shoot View, the overlay included a crosshair, a rifle, and sound effects, but wasn’t actually a game. Nevertheless, Business Insider reports Google pulled the plug, citing a violation of the service’s terms of service. For the few days it existed over the weekend, Google Shoot View brought enough traffic to crash the company’s servers, and had up to 3,000 concurrent users.
