Latest A Game of Thrones video introduces you to The Wall

By Stephany Nunneley

Cyanide has released another video for its A Game of Thrones RPG, providing the uninitiated with a look at The Wall and an explanation of how very important it is to the Seven Kingdoms.

The Wall is 300 miles long, and a massive fortification build on the northern border of Westeros in order to protect it from the Wildlings which live on the other side. Constructed eight millennia ago using both manpower and magic, it is over 700 feet tall and is made of solid ice with Castle Black at the northern end of the Kingsroad serving as the headquarters of the Night’s Watch.

Defended by the Sworn Brothers of the Watch, which is dangerously understaffed at this point in the story’s timeline, the Eastwatch located at the eastern end of the fortification plays an important role in the storyline. It is where one of the main protagonists and “bastard” son of Eddard Stark, Jon Snow is stationed along with his direwolf, Ghost.

Confirmed as being in development back in October, Cyanide plans to release A Game of Thrones RPG in early 2012 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. It is to be published by Atlus.
