Well if the Rick Perry campaign was looking to make a splash with their latest video, they certainly have! The ad is so weirdly homophobic, it almost seems like a parody video, but it isn't. The governor of Texas really is just that much of a clueless d-bag. I guess it did achieve it's goal of racking up votes though! Unfortunately it's dislike votes on YouTube, closing in on a half million last time I checked. Which is way more than he'll ever get in his race for the presidency, but more than enough to be surpass Rebecca Black's 'Friday'. For perspective, Rebecca has more than 10 times the overall views, but less dislikes. OUCH.
The video is so wrong that even some people on the governor's staff were uncomfortable with the words that Perry spouts from his brainless little pandering mouth. He's clearly going for the small-minded vote so he hits all the ignorant people talking points, the horror of gays serving openly in the military, the war on Christmas, Obama's war on religion...wait WHA??? Perhaps someone on his staff should've shoved another corndog in his piehole to shut him up.
His staff might've also been wise to advice him that his blatant homophobia might piss off some of the people hired for the video's production. Like say the stylist. Who I like to believe gave the governor a subtle eff you, by dressing Rick in a classic Brokeback Mountain look. Intentional or not, that person is my hero.
This is just the latest gaffe by the Texas Governor, but I'm sure it won't be the last. Hopefully he'll drop out of the race soon, go back home and we won't have to hear about him again until his inevitable sex scandal breaks. Can't wait!

Can't you just picture the Governor looking at Bieber with a steely cowboy glint in his eye and saying "You're going down, Bieber!" Yeah, me too. shudder
