Our world has truly become a dark place. We hear swearing in public, Nicki Minaj continues to exist, and sometimes people smoke in movies. The kids from Glee, however, are all in high school, though, so their moral compasses are still developing. There is always a danger, though, that they'll be seduced by depravity and malice, so we can only pray that they avoid some of these distasteful songs.
Rihanna "We Found Love"
Finding love can often lead to... you know... sex. But this song does specifically state that they found love in a hopeless place, so maybe that will lead to sex in a hopeless place (marriage). In which case, great message, Glee.
"What's My Age Again" by Blink 182
I can't imagine Glee singing a song that had such a vile music video. What if the New Directions riffed on the video and did a scene where they themselves ran around with their shame so prominently displayed?! I can't imagine it! I don't want to imagine it! I'm going to spend the next few hours imagining it so none of you have to.
"Twist and Shout" The Beatles
This song is way too much fun to be wholesome and I don't like the Glee kids going down that path. I live a strictly moral lifestyle and I have literally never had fun.
Gary Jules "Mad World"
The notion that this is a "mad world" is not something I want the Glee kids endorsing. It's not a mad world! It's a happy world! One filled with bunnies and ice cream and ice cream flavored bunnies. Wait. The point is, the world is great and if those Glee kids don't like it they can go jump off a building.
Third Eye Blind "Jumper"
That said, Glee should not advocate jumping off of buildings.
Coldplay "Paradise"
Listen, I'm a bitter moral absolutist, and even I think Glee can find something cooler to cover. Could we sex it up a little bit there Coldplay?
Any song by the New Pornographers
That is ACTUALLY a BAND'S NAME. AUGHH it's revolting. AUUUGHH. I can't believe I had to type it. AUUUUGHHHH! AUGH, I have to spend the rest of the night pouring hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol on myself! AUGHH! AUGHH! AUGHH!
