Star Wars: The Old Republic pre-orders get two-day grace period

By Andrew Groen

EA has announced that they are instituting a two-day grace period for those who pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic. So anybody who preordered the game and is involved in the early access beta, will be able to keep playing until Dec. 22. After December 22nd it’s put-up-or-shut-up time. Either enter a final product registration code or you’ll no longer have access to the game.

The policy was put into place after numerous SW:TOR early users expressed concern that their copy of the game wouldn’t arrive on launch day, thus disrupting their play. After much deliberation, Bioware has decided to meet fans half way. However, this is as far as they’re willing to go.

“We understand that for some, your copy of the game may still arrive on or after December 22nd,” Greg Zeschuk wrote on the TOR forums. “Unfortunately, we cannot extend the grace period any further. We suggest you contact your retailer to discuss shipping options, if this is a concern.”

Thanks, Eurogamer!
