Gorgeous indie dungeon crawler Bastion has managed half a million sales, netting more than 60 awards in the process.
Supergiant noted the sales milestone in a post on the developer’s blog, crediting recent Steam and Xbox Live Arcade sales for the final stretch.
“When we set out to make Bastion, a sales number like that seemed astronomical to us, so it feels great to have hit that mark,” designer Greg Kasavin noted.
“It goes to show that a lot of folks out there like what we’re doing and want us to keep going, which is great, because we intend to stick together as a team and do just that. We’re happy to have this many people playing and to be in a position to make more games on our own terms.”
Bastion, which sports the unusual feature of narration, has drawn huge critical praise – hit the link above to see a list of awards and accolades.
