MIT’s Richard Mancuso and Colarado State’s Clint Oldenburg have been selected for EA Sports’ inaugural NCAA Football Fellowship.
For those who came in late, the fellowship targets post-graduate, ex-NCAA players for 16 weeks of full time paid development work at EA Tiburon, on the next NCAA game.
Mancuso is a computer science and engineering graduate and has a string of football credits; he was a three-year starting quarterback, New England Football Conference Rookie of the Year, and won the Boston Globe Golden Helmet Award.
Oldenburg’s qualifications are in technical journalism, and he was a starting offensive lineman for three years and a fifth round NFL draft pick in 2007.
The two development rookies kick off their work experience stint on January 17. Presumably a career in games development awaits them thereafter, especially given how difficult it is to get the kind of professional experience employers demand. Good work, lads.
