Diablo III’s release in South Korea is in danger of not happening, according to the Korea Times, throwing into doubt the game’s planned global sim-ship.
The threat to the game’s release, according to the Korean Ratings Body, would be its real-life auction house, announced last summer.
A ruling was apparently meant to be made on the matter yesterday, but hasn’t happened.
“Committee members are conflicted about what to do with Diablo III,” said a KRB spokesperson, “because of Blizzard’s information on the game’s ‘auction house’ feature.”
Another meeting to decide when any potential ruling may happen took place today, and yet another is set for Friday.
“In principle, we are always committed to a global release,” said a Blizzard rep on the matter.
BluesNews has more on the story. Diablo III is set to release later this year.
