Bloomberg‘s reporting this afternoon that Apple is prepping iPad 3 for a March release, with production ramping up in Asia as of this month.
One source familiar with the project says full production volume is expected to be reached by February.
Another two sources added that the device will feature a quad-core chip and “an enhancement that lets users jump more quickly between applications.”
Apple unveiled iPad 2 in March last year, across the road and directly after Nintendo president Satoru Iwata’s GDC keynote.
If true, this will be the first major product reveal for new Apple CEO Tim Cook since the death of co-founder Steve Jobs last year.
