Bit.Trip Runner 2 launch delayed into November

Gaijin games has confirmed that lengthily-titled Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien release has been delayed into November of this year.

The game was originally due to arrive in “early 2012”, but Gaijin games confirmed a delay to Eurogamer today. “We’re close to half-way,” Gaijin Games artist Mike Roush told the site.

Roush also explained to Eurogamer that the team will also likely look at bringing the HD sequel to the Wii U. “Everyone at Gaijin Games is a Nintendo fanboy,” Roush explained, “so we will most likely continue that relationship in the future.”

“We’ll make one game and cross-platform it to the best of our ability,” he added.

The original Bit.Trip Runner was released on the Wii first in May 2010. It later made the jump to 3DS and Steam. The lead character of Bit.Trip Runner, Commander Video, also had a cameo in last year’s Super Meat Boy.
