Inciting yet another arbitrary celebrity battle, 'Mad Men' star Jon Hamm recently said in an interview with Elle UK "Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever... being a f—ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly." Oddly, the question was about what kind of ice cream makes him smile the biggest on a hot day at the water park!
Maybe not everything has to be about how dumb our culture is, Jon Hamm.

Kardashian went to Twitter and responded: "I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, “stupid,” is in my opinion careless."

It's sort of a thoughtful reply, but if I may, Kim Kardashian, a piece of advice. When arguing that you aren't stupid, maybe don't write a 429 character-long comment on a website for 140 character posts?
"Yes Kim, I think it's ready. I think it was ready hours ago."

Here's the problem with Kardashian's rebuttal. We don't have to respect one another because "we're all working hard". We respect the person who realized early on that they love clothes and buy sketchbook after sketchbook working day and night to figure out how to make the beauty they see in their mind into something that exists in the real world. We do not have to respect someone who started designing clothes because they didn't know what else to do with their recently-found sex tape celebrity.
"This is, like, a shirt."
