Okay...can we all agree that it's getting pretty annoying to see hot actresses on late night talk shows proclaiming that they are really just big dorks and sci-fi loving nerds? I know lots of nerds. NONE OF THEM HAVE SHOT MAXIM MAGAZINE PHOTO SPREADS!! It doesn't help that they are usually confessing their geekdom while they happen to be promoting their latest role in a film that has its very own Comic-Con panel. Pandering much? Now I admit there are hot nerd chicks out there. But do we honestly believe that any of the following ladies are hardcore dorks or nerds? Or are they just hotter versions of the 'idiot nerd girl' meme? Prepare your eye-rolling skills.
Megan Fox
In addition to being FHM Magazine's 'Sexiest Woman Alive', Megan Fox is also the self-proclaimed 'Biggest Nerd.' She 'loves comic books and stuff like that." and she also loves to 'geek out on Lord of the Rings." And she wears Star Wars belly shirts, so you know, STFU haters!
Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway calls nerds 'her people'. So does that make her like the Queen of the Nerds? Okay beeyotch, I must have missed the election for 'Queen of the Nerds" when you defeated Felicia Day by the slimmest of margins. So what are her unimpeachable nerd credentials? She's addicted to Scrabble, y'all! Yawn.
Mila Kunis
I like Mila Kunis. And I believe that she is really, really into World of Warcraft. But if this girl is a nerd, then the word has no meaning. I don't care if she made out with Padme Amidala. Maaaaybe if it was Slave Girl Leia back in the day. That'll definitely get you some nerd street cred.
Annalynne McCord
Not only is Annalynne a nerd, she confessed to Conan O'Brien that she is an 'UBER-DORK'! Why would she say such a thing about herself? Well, when she's not making duckfaces and sticking her ass at a camera lens, she is apparently watching the Star Wars movies. She LOVES them! She also loves dorky guys. Like former boyfriend, the incredibly pencil-necked geek, Kellan Lutz. Sorry nerds! You'll always have D and D!
Kristen Stewart
Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson LOVE Kristen Stewart's inner nerd! They said so at Comic-Con. No reason. Kristen herself said in a Vogue Magazine interview that she's 'such a dork." I think she must be confusing dork with 'pretentious hipster doofus, who's incapable of making an appealing facial expression.' As much as I hate to admit it, Kristen is a pretty girl. But seriously? That was the best picture they could get? I guess the only thing she does worse than acting is sexy face modeling.
Jessica Alba
Jessica loves to talk about what a dorky goofball she is. And OMG...she also loves dorky guys! These claims had nothing to do with getting nerdboys to think they have a chance so they go see her crappy Fantastic Four movies. We like you Jessica. We like Sue Storm. But those movies sucked. So you can stop pretending to be a dorky geek. Less movies like Invisible Sign, where you play a math nerd. More movies where you treasure-hunt in a bikini.
Zoe Saldana
Zoe claims that she is 'Proud to be a geek!' That's why she's drawn to projects with 'nerd appeal' like Avatar and Star Trek. I'm sure it had nothing to do with starring in sure to be mega blockbusters. NAH! Can we all just agree that being a nerd is more than just liking Star Wars, Star Trek or other super-popular franchises that it's not even remotely embarrassing to admit you like?
Olivia Munn
Hot chicks posing as geeks, bow down to the master!! I almost believed she was legit, then she admitted to fooling around with Brett Ratner. Clearly she'll do anything for fame. Even worse? She let someone dangle a hot dog above her and proceeded to gulp it down. On NATIONAL TV. That's not really my idea of being a hardcore gamer. Maybe another type of hardcore...
What do you think of these 'nerds'? Let me know @desijedeikin or in the comments below!
