Furious interest in an allegedly shelved Justice League game has unfortunately resulted in the proof vanishing behind locked doors.
Internet sleuth Superannuation turned up images of a Double Helix-developed tie-in action game for a cancelled Justice League film directed by George Miller.
The artist responsible immediately password locked the source – but not before Joystiq harvested a few details.
According to current Rockstar San Diego staffer and former Double Helix art director and lead level artist Jon Gwyn, Justice League would have been a third-person brawler, and was in production for two years after the film was shut down. It might eventually have sported a team-based multiplayer mode.
Gwyn reportedly stated that the Justice League project was recycled for another superhero release; the Green Lantern game.
Superannuation noted that the unannounced game leaked a few years ago.
