Back in the day, women were the Rodney Dangerfields of the world – they didn’t get no respect. Even ads that catered specifically to them were rude, patronizing and demeaning. By and large, broads used to be seen as little more than emotionally fragile baby makers and house cleaners – today, however, women represent 57% of college students and comprise half of America’s workforce. In short, sisters are now doing it for themselves. Which is why we no longer see ridiculously sexist ads like these in our Sunday papers.
