Call of Duty Black Ops 2 had a huge reveal trailer released yesterday, and the internet is positively buzzing about it. And by "buzzing about it" I mean "positively underwhelmed" because of course the new Call of Duty is Black Ops 2. What else was Activision going to do, spring Big Red One 2 on us?
I was kind of hoping for Modern Warfare 2 2.

The game's campaign appears to be about the American military's advanced future technology being used against it by its enemies. The trailer builds to a point where Sgt. Frank Woods declares "That's when they figured it out. They'll always need men like us. Those that are willing to do what others cannot." But I don't know what he's talking about — Even when the military was using amazing future technology, it was still men murdering children and destroying civilizations. So what is it that Sgt. Frank Woods can do that "others cannot"? Shoot old guns? Congratulations, you can fire a rifle that isn't running iOS.

And listen, Call of Duty guys, I know you like your Call of Duty. I get it, and it's totally fine. But you know your copy of Modern Warfare 3 isn't going anywhere, right? Like, you can still play it when it's more than a year old.

If I may say, I bought Modern Warfare 3, and you know what it reminded me of? Modern Warfare 2. And you know what Modern Warfare 2 reminded me of? A worse-playing Modern Warfare 1. It seems to me like Call of Duty is getting worse with each generation. Now I know how my grandpa felt after my dad inherited his hardware business and turned it into a record store and then I inherited it from him and turned it into a combination pornography dealership/ Subway.
My grandpa really hates Subway.
