Guys, I'm not going to lie to you: I miss the Harry Potter series. I miss finding out who is going to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. I miss guessing which insignificant magical objects were Horcruxes (I had money on the bubble gum wrappers Neville got from his parents). I even miss Dumbledore sitting down with Harry at the end of every book and straight up explaining every mystery of the entire book.

So naturally, I'm super stoked to see this — a group of filmmakers have put together a trailer for a web series set in the Harry Potter universe called "Auror's Tale". It's scheduled to be ten episodes long with monthly installments to begin rolling out this summer. If you're an idiot, an Auror is like the wizarding world's version of a detective. And if you're really an idiot a tale is like a story. Check out the trailer—
You'll want to follow Auror's Tale on Twitter, because, in an effort to offset some of the production costs, they're about to launch a Kickstarter campaign. And seriously, this is a Kickstarter you'll want to donate to, unlike those Kickstarters I keep getting tricked into supporting because I'm so dissatisfied with my iPhone case.
Closer, but still not there.
There is really no better universe to explore than Harry Potter. From ancient magical objects to past wizards to the endless list of spells, the world JK Rowling dreamed up allows for infinite creativity. Unlike that bullsh*t Mad Men universe where everyone's a human and they barely even talk about dark wizards.
