Hey, you know about Reddit, right? That social network filled with cat pictures Community references and memes about good people named Greg and wretched people named Steve? Yeah, the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES showed up there. Which is great, I definitely want the leader of the free world as distracted by Reddit as I am.

The President mostly answered questions about the economy, the student loan market, and how he schedules his job and his family life. He was smart enough to avoid some of the traditional Reddit traps, though, like posting .GIF responses or engaging in pun wars.
He probably stayed up too late checking his karma, though.

He did make one mistake though. When speaking on NASA funding the President suggested a manned mission to "a asteroid". So of course, Reddit did to the President what Redit does best:

Besides crashing the site's servers, Obama's AMA also went right to the top of the homepage. The previous number one thread before the President came around was about an awesome Back to the Future mod for Grand Theft Auto 4. So if even THAT couldn't out-do the President, what else did we miss yesterday on Reddit? What if someone posted an old picture of their grandfather doing something badass?
