This weekend could be a fruitful one for Sega fans. The publisher has announced its “Total War Weekend” on Steam. Plenty of bargains are up for grabs, including free items for Team Fortress 2, Spiral Knights and savings on the Total War series.
The entire catalogue of Total War content is currently enjoying 25% off, a promotion that runs from September 27-30. Special 24 hour deals will make the games even cheaper, including free Total War-themed items for Team Fortress 2 and Spiral Knights. Gamers who already own certain TW games will receive these downloads automatically.
For the first 24 hours of Total War weekend, players can pick up Rome: Total War for $1, £1 or €1.
The Total War: Master Collection, which incorporates seven Total War games including the latest Shogun 2, Fall of the Samurai and Total War Battles titles, can be purchased for just $31.23/£26.23/€33.98. Those who do this will receive the free Team Fortress 2 and Spiral Knights items at the same time.
“We thought that a great way of marking the release of the first Rome II gameplay vid would be to highlight the classic that really made Total War the series it is today,” commented John Clark, Vice President of Digital Distribution at SEGA.
Here’s that vid:
Needless to say, if you’re interested in the series and have never committed, now is the time to do so.
