Harmonix files ‘Chroma’ trademark & logo, combat IP evidence mounts

By Dave Cook

Harmonix has filed a new trademark and logo for something called ‘Chroma’, which may or may not have something to do with the studio hiring for an upcoming combat IP.

The ever sleuthing Superannuation tweeted the discovery, along with a link to the trademark filing page.

Here’s the logo:

And the filing itself:

Here’s an excerpt from the Harmonix ‘combat IP’ job listing:

“Harmonix seeks a Combat Designer to create real-time, single-player combat experiences for a brand new IP on next-generation hardware. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute creatively to the studio and work on a project that is unlike anything Harmonix has ever done before.”

The position is for a designer who will help “develop the core loop of our single-player combat gameplay” for a “fun, deep and accessible combat experience”. It’s a real-time combat game too, but details are sparse beyond this.

What’s your take on the evidence?
