Hitman: Absolution Contracts mode won’t require players to have an online pass for users in North America.
The new was posted on the Hitman Tumblr, and picked up by Joystiq.
The notice states the firm had planned to make the mode accessible via a code in the game’s box, but “really want to make it available to anybody that plays the game.” Users in other regions will still have to enter a the code included in the box in order to play the Contracts mode.
“If you’re in North America you’ll see the mode automatically appear in the game menu,” reads the post. “If you’re elsewhere, you can redeem the code inside the box, or you can simply select the BUY CONTRACTS PASS option. From there, head to the store where CONTRACTS will be free to access.”
Hitman: Absolution is out on November 20 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
