US PS Plus Update includes Instant Collection for Vita

By Brenna Hillier

This week’s PlayStation Plus update includes a bevy of new content for US subscribers, both for PlayStation 3 and – drumroll – Vita.

The Vita’s debut week as part of PlayStation Plus kicks off in style with a couple of well-received titles added to Instant Collection, meaning subscribers can download them at no additional and keep them for as long as they remain members of PlayStation Plus.

The games available are Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, WipEout 2048, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, Jet Set Radio HD and Final Fantasy Tactics.

For PlayStation Plus members without a Vita, there’s a number of PlayStation 3 offers. Dungeon Defenders has been added to the Instant Collection, along with the Sonic Bundle – collecting both original Genesis games.

Sega is also throwing a sale for Plus members, with the following discounts:

  • Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Complete Edition – $14.99
  • Hell Yeah Bundle (Full game + 2 DLCs) – $10.49
    NiGHTS into Dreams – $4.89
  • Jet Set Radio – $4.89
  • Sonic Adventure 2 – $4.89
  • Sonic Adventure 1 & DLC Bundle – $3.99
  • Sega Rally Arcade – $2.99
  • Space Channel 5: Part 2 – $2.99

Finally, PS Move title Sorcery is on sale at $15.99, or 20% off.

In other Plus news, subscribers are also offered more than 80% off a one year subscription to Music Unlimited at just $12. The music streaming service works on PS3, Vita, Android, iPhone and iPod touch and PC. There are no ads or skip limits and you can choose individual songs and albums as well as playlists and channels.
