Sega is bringing one of its most popular and successful faces into the gangaster drama Yakuza 5.
Hatsune Miku, the vocaloid who has gone on to star in a line of very popular rhythm action games in Japan, will appear in several forms in Yakuza 5.
Haruka will have a Hatsune Miku costume, for use in her rhytham action “battle” sequences.
Miku snow sculptures will be visible in towns, and toys toys will be available from Yakuza 5’s in-game UFO catchers (like claw arm games).
Siliconera reports Sega announced the crossover in a NicoNico stream. Hatsune Miku games sell like crazy in Japan and local fans regularly petition Sony and Sega to bring her latest Vita title west.
Yakuza 5 is due in Japan in December exclusively for PlayStation 3; it hasn’t been confirmed for western launch either.
