City of Heroes, the first superhero MMO which launched in 2004, is no more, as NCSoft shut the game servers down last night at 11.59pm PST. Players held a final Unity Rally on all servers at City Hall as a last goodbye until the lights went out over Paragon City. NCSoft announced in August the MMO would be shuttered along with Paragon Studios due to a “realignment of company focus and publishing support.” Surely the game’s players gave CoH a send off worthy of a superhero last night. Thanks, TenTonHammer.
