Resident Evil 6 PC dated for Steam, recommended specs listed

Resident Evil 6 on PC has been given a solid release date by Capcom. The game is launching via Steam and will come with a suite of Steam-centric features such as cloud saving and achievements. Get the details below.

The game is launching as a Steam download and a physical retail product worldwide from Friday March 22, 2013, and both versions will contain all of the DLC found on consoles free of charge, such as the ‘No Hope’ difficulty setting.

Here’s a rundown of the game’s Steam features:

Here are the game’s minimum specs:

· OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
· Processor: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or better, AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8 Ghz or better
· Memory: 2 GB RAM
· Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
· Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS or better
· DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
· Sound: Standard audio device

Finally, here are the recommended specs:

Meanwhile, in console-land, Resident Evil 6 will receive a second title update on January 22nd that makes the following changes:

Agent Hunt Mode
· Available without having to complete a campaign
· Selectable criteria for joining a session:
Stage selection
Region selection
Players can determine whether to join a session based on campaign player’s settings such as infinite ammo or friendly fire setting
Stage selection
· Individual stages within chapters can be accessed at any time once completed
General
· QTE assist
QTE assist is currently part of the Amateur difficulty level, and automatically completes QTEs for the player. With this update, players can optionally activate QTE assist on any difficulty level.
· Adjustments
Some sections of the game have had their difficulty adjusted to provide an improved experience
