Dota 2 patch brings new hero, Tusk

By Brenna Hillier

Dota 2 has been updated and brought along a new friend.

PCGamesN Tusk is a strength-based melee hero based the original Dota’s Tuskarr.

As such, Tusk has a couple of powers you might not expect from his bear-like appearance, and also boasts a very short cool down on his powerful abilities:

  • Ice Shards: launches five shards of ice in front of Tusk, which form a barrier on collision with a hero or at maximum range.
  • Snowball: Tusk wraps himself in a giant snowball and stuns enemy units. Allies can enter the snowball to bypass enemies and creep.
  • Frozen Sigil: a hero-centred or targeted area of effect ability which causes a 30 second snowstorm to slow enemy movement and attack speed, but cna be destroyed by enemies.
  • Walrus Punch: A skill which triples the force of Tusk’s next melee attack – or quadruples it if the target is at 50% health or below. Targets are slowed.

Check Tusk out in action below. You can try him out once you’ve got the latest patch, which also makes combat logs easier to parse.
