Everquest is now old enough to wear coloured lip gloss to school, and won’t shut up about boys, but at least it’s stopped demanding a horse.
In a producer’s letter, Sony Online entertainment announced its plans to celebrate Everquest’s 14th anniversary, which falls on March 16.
First off, several player-designed missions from the SOE Live Design a Mission panel will be integrated into the MMO in the March update.
More missions are on the way, too; players who have finished their Epic quest for 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 will be given the opportunity to revisit historic locations and events, in a loving tribute to Everquest-as-was. Successful completion will earn an Epic Weapon Ornamentation.
New crafting recipes will also be added, including animal hats, and all past anniversary events will be reactivated.
Outside of anniversary celebrations, its business as usual; click the link above for a rundown on updates to housing; staff changes; Hero’s Forge Armor; and the upcoming Shadows of Fear expansion.
Thanks, TenTonHammer.
