So if you've been on the internet recently, you've probably come across a story or video about Promposals, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! Promposals are basically dudes going to marriage proposal levels when asking a girl to a glorified high school dance. Now normally my cold, black, heart rejects this kind of sentimental tripe, especially when it has such a corny name, but I have to admit these guys got pretty creative and were sometimes even funny. Here's a look at 10 of the best promposals. Enjoy them now, before they get annoying and predicatable.
Booty Twerk
This promposal is the Gold Booty Shorts Standard. Unfortunately, prom night will probably not be nearly as memorable as the promposal. Unless his date repays him with a limo twerk. Get your twerk on, GUUUURRL!
The 90s Promposal
This guy spent four months planning his 90s-themed epic promposal. He had me at Hall & Oates. Everything is better with Hall & Oates. Except for Glee.
Keeping It Classy
This guy was inspired by Heath Ledger in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. I would have preferred a promposal inspired by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, but I have demented ideas about romance.
Perfect
Normally I cringe when someone breaks out the acoustic guitar, but I just want to hug this guy's nerves away. Escaping the Friendzone...he's doing it right!
Fake Dance Audition
One of my favorite things ever is amateur dancers giving it their all. He may look like a deluded person auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance?, but he's the winner of this girl's heart. So I'm sure he wasn't too broken up about not making the dance squad. Holy crap this article is making me corny. I need to blacken my heart again, stat! Better go read a Kardashian Twitter feed.
Backstreet Boys Promposal
I never grow tired of people doing lip dubs or choreography to the Backstreet Boy's Everybody (Backstreet's Back). I would see a complete concert of people just performing this song.
Falling For You
As one YouTube commenter put it...'S.W.A.G = Something We Asians Got.' I really can't put it better than that.
One Direction Promposal
This is probably the only thing One Direction-related that I've every liked. Other than all of these 1D moments that make you go Hmmm...
Prom?
Another non-annoying acoustic guitar promposal! Major props for drawing out the suspense and adding back-up singers.
Draw Something Promposal
This one is all kinds of win. I want to go to prom with this guy! And I hated friggin' prom and all things other people consider fond high school memories!!
