Mila Kunis…and Macauley Culkin
This one makes me break out into sadz but when Mila Kunis left Macauley Culkin after 8 years, rumors started to spread about his further descent into drug abuse. Mila on the other hand blossomed into a bona fide movie star garnering acclaim for Black Swan and the recent Oz: The Great and Powerful. But she’s dating Ashton Kutcher so two steps forward, so many douche steps back.
Ben Affleck …and Jennifer Lopez
Its been a long time since Bennifer. I’d wager many of you were still residing in Casa de Vagina. But at the time, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were the most grotesquely overexposed couple of their time. Once they split, and maybe a Daredevil or two here and there, Affleck pursued directing and just recently garnered his second Oscar. He has also garnered Jennifer Garner and some adorable little chitlins on the way.
Justin Timberlake …and Britney Spears
We’re all very happy for Britney’s rehabilitation and her recent upswing in popularity after judging on X-Factor. But let’s be serious. Timberlake won the war of the exes many times over. As a film star, platinum selling artist about to go on tour, adept comedian and all around dapper gent he’s so many threats he’s not allowed to go on a plane without a vigorous pat down.
Sandra Bullock ….and Jesse James
Like a prized show pony mated with a box of bent thumb tacks, thus was Sandra Bullocks marriage with philanderer to the porn stars Jesse James. Bullock went on to adopt a beautiful boy and receive her first Oscar. James may or may not have been outted as a nazi sympathizer. Good times had by all.
Alec Baldwin …and Kim Bassinger
Once the most embarrassingly photogenic couple of the 80s and 90s, Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger almost lost their way in a plume of smoke after a heated, ugly divorce. Since then Alec has had a personal comedic renaissance, navigating the handsome leading man waters safely to become a distinguished clown on 30 Rock and beyond. Bassinger now manages a Dairy Queen in Tulsa, but is still a fox.
Anne Hathaway …and Raffaelo Folieri
Hathaway has had quite a year what with winning her much deserved Oscar and getting married in a lavish ceremony. But there was a time when her heart was almost swindled by real estate tycoon Raffaelo Folieri her former fiancée. Follieri was convicted of fraud in 2008 and after spending 5 years in jail was deported back to Italy where he does background work on The Borgias for Showtime. Well, he did before it was cancelled, probably.
