By Stephany Nunneley

PlayStation Network users in Canada can participate in a class-action suit against Sony over the firm’s 2011 network outage which was the result of a hack.

Those who had funds in their wallet during the outage and stopped using the service following its return, will be refunded the full amount.

Those who continued to use the service and participated in the Welcome Back promotion, will be handed an additional free game from the promo which went live once service was restored.

In lieu they can choose a 50% discount on three months of PS Plus or three dynamic themes.

Qriocity accounts will be credited for a free month.

SOE users in Canada affected by the outage can request a Station Cash balance refund or $4.50 in SC credit. More information is provided through the settlement link.

Thanks, Joystiq.
