Twisted Pixel lead designer Dan Teasdale announces departure

By Stephany Nunneley

Twisted Pixel’s lead designer Dan Teasdale has announced he has left the studio.

According to a post on his personal blog, Teasdale said he planned to stay with the firm, and only envisioned leaving it should something “incredibly unique and amazing” come out of “left field.”

“Well, something incredibly unique and amazing became plausible a few months ago, and turned into reality soon after that,” he wrote. “I can’t talk about it yet, but it’s a shift in what I’ve been doing for the past 15 years. It’s exciting and scary, which is exactly the kind of thing I love burying myself in.”

Before joining Twisted Pixel in 2010, Teasdale was a lead designer on the Rock Band series and before joining Harmonix, he was a consultant at Irrational Games and also worked for Pandemic Studios.

Twisted Pixel’s currently working on LocoCycle which was announced during E3 2012.

Thanks, GI International.
