It appears 2K has pulled the official website and privatized the YouTube videos for its XCOM shooter.
Noticed by Digital Trends, the tactical shooter was announced in 2010 for a 2011 release, but was delayed into 2012.
In May 2012, Take-Two announced during its fiscal results the game had been delayed once again, and would release sometime during fiscal year 2014 – meaning the game could release anytime between now and April 30 2014.
Last month, a report from Superannuation stated that the game may be in the process of a re-brand due to domain registrations for “thebureau-game.com” and “whathappenedin62.com” popping up.
A report from October 2012 suggested the game had been changed from a tactical FPS into a third-person shooter. Leaked screenshots seemed to corroborate the claim.
When contacted by Polygon, a 2K representative stated that they had “no comment about the sites being down today.”
When visiting the website, we receive a 404 error, and when checking out the official 2K YouTube Channel, the videos are no where to be found.
