PS4 site suggests Vita remote play as standard feature

By Brenna Hillier

Sony has updated its PlayStation 4 website with a section suggesting Vita Remote Play may be available for all or most PlayStation 4 games.

Visit the official US PlayStation 4 website and scroll down about two thirds to admire this inspiring message:

“Play your favorite PS4 games on your PlayStation Vita’s beautiful 5-inch display using Remote Play.”

The statement does not necessarily confirm the feature will be available for all PS4 titles but it would certainly be considered extremely misleading advertising if, at a later date, it turned out the majority of games didn’t support it.

Sony has demonstrated Vita remote play for PS4 reveal title Knack, but has not said anything about how much support the cross-controller system will receive, beyond indicating that it would like it if every game made it available.

A recent comment from a Sony executive suggesting that the Vita will get some sort of boost soon does lend some weight to the idea that Sony may push for all games to make remote play available.

We have, of course, asked Sony for clarification. Several PlayStation 3 games support Vita remote play.

Thanks, Lengendaryboss.
