Saint’s Row 4 was denied classification in Australia last month over content concerns, but now it seems the Classification Board is reconvening to take another look at the game next week.
You can read up on the game’s initial denial of classification here, along with a statement from publisher Deep Silver.
Following the decision, a ‘low-violence’ violence version of the game appeared on the Australian Steam store, unknown to the Classification Board. Deep Silver had nothing to add at the time.
But now, the Australian Classification Board has confirmed it received an application to review the game’s rating on July 29. This could mean that the game will get re-classified, but whether or not this confirms the existence of a low-violence version remains to be seen. We’ll have more next week.
