Gran Turismo 6 isn’t heading to PlayStation Vita any time soon, according to Sony World Wide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida.
Speaking with IGN, Yoshida said: “The PS Vita is a very powerful portable system, but not quite as powerful as PS3. As you can tell looking at GT6, it really is using PS3 to a very high level. So it’s going to be really hard to move GT6 onto PS Vita.
“But in terms of PS Vita support, I don’t expect the whole game to be able to run on PS Vita. So there’s no clear plans right now that we can talk about.”
It’s possible that is Gran Turismo 6 comes to PlayStation 4 it could also come to Vita, as all first-party games will contain remote play. However, Yoshida would not be drawn on the possibility, despite Polyphony Digital teasing since the game was announced that it “may” come to PS4 in the future.
Gran Turismo 6 releases on PS3 December 6.
