Playground Games may be working on a sequel to Forza Horizon if a job posting for an “unnamed Midlands-based racing developer” is any indication.
According to the listing, the unlisted firm is looking for a Senior Environment Artist to work on “the next edition of their successful racing title.” The listing has since been removed from the job agency, but Superannuation says it matched word-for-word the listing posted on Playground’s website.
The contract position states it will be a 9 month tenure, so Super surmised whatever the possible sequel is could arrive sometime during 2014 after Forza 5 is released.
Furthermore, Playground’s creative director and studio director have noted on their CVs they are “working on an exciting unannounced title for Xbox One.”
Playground is also looking for staff to pad its mobile games development team.
