Nintendo prevails in patent case brought against it by Creative Kingdoms

By Stephany Nunneley

Nintendo has announced it has a won a patent infringement case brought against it by Creative Kingdoms through the International Trade Commission. The commission found that Wii and Wii U did not infringe upon Creative Kingdoms’ patents, and found that patents from the latter were also invalid. “We are pleased with the commission’s determination,” said Richard Medway, NoA’s deputy general counsel. “Nintendo’s track record demonstrates that we vigorously defend patent lawsuits when we believe we have not infringed another party’s patent.”
