Remember Star Wars 1313? Of course you do. It was the game shelved by Disney due to the closure of LucasArts studio, would have had players starring as Boba Fett. Today, IGN has posted a write up on a 15 minute demo of the game it was shown, and would have been shown during E3 2013, but alas, it was not meant to be.
According to IGN, the demo shown to it by a source close to the project, the game’s prologue started on Tattooine when Boba was rather young and not sporting his awesome Mandalorian armor just yet.
Fett, along with his armor would have evolved throughout the story, and at one point he would have ended up in the dark, slum layer of Coruscant, 1314. Here he would be “fighting his way” through the darkness of the level in search of his bounty.
The demo mainly consisted of Boba chasing a Trandoshan through level 1313’s marketplace, running through storefronts, once of which was a butcher shop featuring a slaughtered Tauntaun hanging from a meat hook from the rafters. Apaprently crime families in the level on Coruscant smuggle spice to other planets using these creatures and this was one of the central plots running through the game.
Various concept art is posted over on IGN as well, showing Boba and a droid companion, as well as other bounty hunters.
You should really go give it a read and have a look at what might have been. Personally, I think it sounded like it might have been pretty damn good.
