Xbox One – Microsoft will not require third-party digital games to have demos

By Stephany Nunneley

Microsoft’s Marc Whitten has said publishers won’t be required to release trial versions of Xbox One games as is currently the case on Xbox Live Arcade.

Speaking in an AMA over on IGN, Whitten said the firm is still going to look at easy ways to find new games on the Xbox Games Store.

“Not all games will have demos like Xbox Live Arcade games have had on Xbox 360,” Whitten stated. “That said, we are going to work on lots of ways to make it easy for you to find and try new games on the service.”

Xbox One is out in November.

Thanks, OXM.
