Speaking to ESPN, Tiger Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg revealed he’s in negotiations with an unnamed company for the use of the golf pro’s name and likeness, now that Tiger’s EA deal has fallen through. More from Steinberg on the falling out after the break.
“We had an incredible run. Outside of [John] Madden, you would be hard pressed to find a sports figure that meant as much to a video game company as Tiger meant to EA. But times are changing and EA had to re-evaluate the partnership, and frankly so did we.”
Sounds like it was a difficult partnership towards the end there, even if EA has claimed the star’s extramarital affair had no impact on the company’s decision.
Thanks, ESPN.
